There will be days of south

Foremost of all, I would like to extend my genuine apologies for a mistake contained in my last post where I stated dividends for the Portfolio 1.5 - EW were running over $40,000. Because of my weariness that night I skimmed through the information and the dividend yields (proportion of dividend over the current share price) were read wrongly as final dividends. Hence my mistake and I am deeply regretful of the mistake although, by far, no one notified me about it.
Just a quick update on the portfolio and market before the last trading day of the week. The ASX S&P 200 benchmark index dipped slightly by 0.1% while the Portfolio 1.5 - EW since last observed on Monday shed 0.63% to 9.83% of total value or from the 1st September Reference Point of 10.12%, it actually fell by 0.29%. The big boys of the portfolio; TPI and DOW suffered quite heavy losses. Final unrealised closing profit is currently standing at $3,210 down from $3,475 observed on 2nd September 2006.
I hope by the coming weeks I am able to perform an in-depth analysis of the portfolio especially in terms of risk (beta) as the conventional mantra goes "High Risk High Return". Of course, performance analysis of the previous rather "successful" draft Portfolio 1 - EW for the August month will not be left out.
