Portfolio 701: Rocket UP!

The portal's second shares portfolio, Portfolio 701*, formed in January, 2007, made history today by crossing into the tenths in terms of returns. Portfolio 701 closed at a return of 10.37% with after-cost profits at $4,360.
As the market today buoyed, riding on the tails from Wall Street gains and RBA's decision to hold rates, the ASX S&P 200 benchmark index rose 69.9 points higher to close at 6083.3 points.
The miners and financials were the big movers of the day.
Meanwhile, the first portfolio of the portal, Portfolio 1.5-EW* generated a return of 66.10% with after-costs profits at $26,908, since the shares portfolio were formed in August, 2006. No longer it is making half the money and perhaps the "fundamental technicality" factor used in constructing the portfolios here is indeed a viable investment strategy capable of providing strong returns, without any portfolio rebalancing.
