Another Record Broken
October 11th 2006 15:02
This time Portfolio 1.5 - EW reached 15.12% in valuation and unrealised profits after first round of transaction costs rose to $5,440. The last record breaking profit was $4,578 on 2nd October, 2006.
The portfolio performance so far, is rather remarkable considering it was constructed based on one "fundamental technicality" factor and requires little active management of the selected stocks. In casual terms, having gained 15% since its inception on August is nothing short of beating the bank rates. What about beating the index? I certainly hope so but I do not have the luxury of time yet to build performance evaluation, but will definately do so.
The market joined in for the fun ride today with the ASX S&P 200 benchmark index gaining 34.2 points or 0.7% higher to 5282.8 at closing and as I have mentioned earlier on my Monday past, the downfall caused by North Korea's nuclear bomb test will not have a sustainable negative influence and impact on the market. The rally today was mainly lead by resource stocks such as BHP Billition and Rio Tinto, and followed by the banks.
Adding further to the joy was reports that economists from financial instituitions and one from RBA are changing thier course believing that rates will be maintained as inflation pressure has eased.
Just great and let's hope the coming Christmas will be a joyful one, spiritually and financially.
The winner stocks are highlighted in yellow.
